Submitted by New York City activists:
On May 28, activists staged a disruption at the Neiman Marcus location at Roosevelt Field Mall during a phone action urging “Neiman Carcass,” one of the few retailers still selling fur in the US, to stop supporting animal cruelty and go fur-free.
Full-length mink, chinchilla, and fox coats are sold in their morbid fur salon. Disgusting! In a time when fur is so frowned upon, and iconic designers and fashion brands are moving away from animal cruelty, Neiman’s CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck continues to profit off of the suffering of countless animals violently murdered at seven months old for their fur on factory fur farms.
He may silence his victims, but he won’t ignore the pressure from activists or the public backlash waiting for him. We will continue to call out this monster and his corrupt company. We do not tire easily; this is what we do. Just ask Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale’s.
Call and text them, and ask them to stop selling fur: Text 972-476-1801. Call 888-888-4757.
